highest causes of death in HISTORY?

Guns isnt even close considering its a pretty new invention and most people dont even have them. In America's history, yes guns are probably very high on causes of death. But im going to say world-wide and through-out history, disease and mal-nutrion is the highest cause of death.
 
Certainly not, that would be contageous diseases like plague for example, although there were many who were slaughtered by their own kind ( whether by means of weapons or some vicious contraption like gas chamber )...
 
Disease was the most common cause of death throughout history. People are good at slaughtering each other, but pathogens do it better. Up till the last century, things like the flu, cold, pneumonia, and malaria killed huge numbers. Even back in Rome's golden age it was rare that someone lived till 40, and only about 1 in 6 to their teens.
 
War people killing people for stupid political reasons...
Accidents and bad health(heart problems from stress, lack of resources to afford better existence)
