This is what I just saw on the Tmo site on the OS/DM download page:

Why is this an issue for those of us that pay for Tmo service? It seems to me that part of my monthly phone bill would be allocated towards adequate bandwidth/connections so this wouldn't be an issue. I'm able to browse the site like normal, so they have plenty of resources being unused.

I say this is a problem because I was trying to find out what is Tmo's current software version for my BB. It seems that this is the only place on the site to find out...

That is how I found the page that has the above text. Believe me, this isn't really a request for help. It's more of a 'mini rant' to get my frustration out.

If a Tmo CSR sees it, and the admittedly small issue gets addressed, I'll be appreciative. But I doubt it's a big enough issue to really get anyone there to send it very high up the ladder.

edit: Oh, maybe I need to brush up on my reading comp. You said the "RIM" download area. I'll try that. Thanks

That error message has been there for over a week. It's more like an internal error at this point rather than high volume. I tried calling them, but didn't have the time to stay on hold for long...

hey, this is the first time this error has been happening...It isn't about what you pay for...ect...T-mobile is pretty cheap compared to the competitors...T-mobile has a history of great service, I don't think this will last very much longer...(they might be getting ready to launch the 8800 BB, or a 8700 Software upgrade...so they pulled all OS off right now, and put them back on once the new Product/os is on...

This is spectulation.

AS far as I know the download page for OS download is not from T-Mobile but from RIM directly 'cause if you follow the link you that you're redirect to the RIM website( At least, that's how the other provider I know work)

Hope this helps

I've been trying to DL the latest update since yesterday morning but get the same message... I just went out and bought a 2gig micro sd card but apparently I can't use it untill I dl this update... Anyone know of a link to get it elsewhere?

boomboom: It is about what I pay for. I expect to be able to use all of the features, including OS updates, that I pay for, at anytime I choose. I understand that isn't always possible, perfection never is. However, so far as I know, the CSRs I talk to have been unaware of the issue, and if andrey is correct, this has been going on for more than a week.

Other OS/new release issues are irrelevant to me. I'm not so angry as to call daily and complain, but how hard can the fix be? What I do know is that it isn't all that hard to host a file for others to download, nor is it difficult to change said file when it needs updating.

There is no need to leave other customers hanging in the breeze when you are rolling out a new product. And if that is the case, why lie about it? All I really want is the current OS version number, anyway. It just seems a silly problem to have...

The dedicated 7100t OS link shown in this thread is working again, but the the other devices still seem to have the same problem. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

I'm a senior rep for Tmobile and when I go to work today I will find out about any info on this and hopefully an etr and relay the info to you wonderful folks
