It's good that you brought your papers to them. Don't worry. This will allow you to have the accommodations you need to get the most out of your education. If you have special needs, like you must be in a quiet place when you take tests, you will be allowed to take the test in a separate room. If you need to sit on the floor for some reason, you will be allowed to do things like that. If they are good teachers, they will NOT think you are stupid. Teachers are have a duty to help you learn and nowadays, teachers have no problem with making accommodations. You are in college because you want to learn and the teachers are glad you are there. They want you to succeed just as much as you want to for yourself. I would say, make use of the accommodations so that you get the most out of your class. Good luck and I wish you success.

Ok so I am going to be going to a community college here in the fall. When I was in high school I was in special education classes because I have a learning disability. They told me when I graduated that I needed to take my sp.ed. papers to the college I'll be attending to make accommodations for my classes. I took them there, they set up a meeting for this week and gave me a packet about what I accommodations I think I'll need and bring back. My question is what accommodations are aloud in college? I don't want to write something down an them think I'm stupid and think "did she really write this down" or something like that. So what accommodations are aloud? Thanks everyone!
