High School Musical 4

it will be calle high school musical 4 the new class- i bet you!
only the minor characters will be back for it the two main ones will not be back they werent exactly jumping for joy at having to do the 3rd

I think Zac Efron said he'd only complete the three, and with the third one being about the Senior Prom, I doubt they'd be able to make another one with the same characters as they would have essentially left high school.

Some of the other actors and actresses already have other things in the pipeline as well with Ashley just getting back from shooting a movie in Australia, Vanessa in Texas etc. I'm not ashamed to admit I love these films, despite being older than the supposed 'target' audience but, I don't think they'll be the same without the original cast.
 
I'm sure it won't be so bad.
I mean if it's a DCOM and not a theatrical release, most of the original HSMers will have moved on I would say..

I mean there's so many DCOMs which are shown that are sequels.. I mean there's a Cheetah Girls 3 coming up, and there's just been Twitches Too and all that.. so it's not like there'll be anymore excessive advertising OTHER than on the Disney Channel itself. :p

It'll be the continuous trailers on every other channel for HSM3 that will get on peoples nerves. :p
 
It won't really be the same with different people, I mean I love High School Musical but a big part of the reason is because I like Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale etc. So High School Musical 4 would almost be like a new series all together. I don't think it'd be as successful.
 
Vanessa Hudgens aka Gabriella, has said that none of the original 6 main characters are coming back, obviously this may change but, she seems confident enough to say it. The others have also said they're only down to do the three.
 
Cars 2 is the most requested film by the public of a Disney original. The original's merchandise has made more money than every other Disney film in history and it's the only one to still top best-selling lists so many years after its release. This year, an expected 40 new die-cast cars are being released which - only Star Wars can boast a more profitble merchandise line!
 
Even if they change the cast it'll still make them money, and Disney know it.
Still, I'm not complaining, although when the cast gets changed usually things go downhill (Grease 2 etc).
 
The only good thing about these movies is that it makes it easy to buy my niece's christmas present. Special edition CD, SE sing along DVD and the book each year :)
