High School Musical 3: Senior Year

I liked the 3rd film.

Though it's a shame we didn't see much more of the other characters besides troy & gabriella. Plus They have kinda done more or less the same storyline with those 2 in a 3 movies. But hey..it was still an alright film.

I liked the progression of Ryan from the 1st film...far more independent now.
Sharpay wasn't chasing after Troy as much as usual (though iit was quite funny when she used to).
I liked all of the songs in this. I especially like how they ended with the song 'High School Musical'.

& finally we saw an actual musical in the film. The 1st only had shown us auditions and the 2nd was building up for the summer show.

anyway...overall the series of HSM films have been great just because it will all be remembered within this era and beyond!
 
I saw this for the first time yesterday, I have never seen the first two, and I have heard a lot of bad things about the films, the only decent reviews I have seen are the ones from Simon Mayo's show on 5 Live.

Anyway I saw it and thought it was a decent film. I probably won't ever see it again, but it wasn't as bad as I had heard from most reviews.
 
Lol I knew they would split up again...however this time Troy didn't actually do anything wrong unlik in the other 2 movies!

Ohh i like the hsm series...it's wierd that there won't be another one...i've kinda got used to there being one every year! :(
 
I hadn't seen HSM3 until Saturday when I watched an hour of it. I wasn't blown away. The songs were all VERY cheesy, "Today we're going to eat. What are you having for dinner? I'm going to get that scholarship.." that kind of thing.. I wasn't impressed after ADORING HSM2 and loving HSM.

There were bits I liked though, like Troy and Gabriella dancing on the roof and the singing on the balcony/treehouse.

THEN, I watched the last 50 minutes tonight, and was just blown away by how much better the last half of the film was SO much better. In fact, (:o :o :o :o) I cried for the last 20 minutes of the film. Proper proper cried. :( I just know I'm their age, and I'm going to be going through EVERYthing they are in the next few weeks. ALTHOUGH MY SUIT FOR PROM IS OUT OF STOCK. :(

Gah, then they started singing a choral version of We're All In This Together? Good God, I was in fits. :( Brilliant stuff.

The only thing I didn't particular like was how big budget the whole thing was. I liked how in 1/2, as it was a DCOM it clearly didn't have a big budget. In fact I've just checked and HSM1/2 got $4.2m and $7 respectively, whereas HSM3 got $11m! Almost three times as much as the first film. I didn't like how all the songs were taken OUT of the familiar setting. I liked the songs which were set -in- HSM the most like the end songs, Can I Have This Dance, etc.

AND SCREAM?!?!?!!! What was going on there? I adored the song, but the choreography was shameful. Zac prancing around the high school was just embarrassing. I think I'll end up whoring that song on my iPod, and when I next watch the film, just closing my eyes all the way through.

Overall though: HSM 2 >>>>> HSM 3 >> HSM 1
 
I thought the choreography for Scream was nine million times better than for Bet On It :p Bet On It was just thoroughly embarassing. Scream wasn't brilliant but it didn't look like he was doing bad tai chi and having a bit of a skip by a lake! :D
 
Gotta Go My Own Way is the best out the series ;)

Scream IS a fantastic song, and I do not deny it.. but as soon as the corridor started spinning around, I got a little motion sick. Zac's jerky head movements didn't help matters.

I love Zac Efron as much as the next guy, but Scream made me cringe. Sorry. :p

Plus, I liked the cheapness of Bet On It.. I'd take a giant Zac Efron head appearing The Lion King style in the water than a twirling House of Fun corridor any day. ;)
 
Anyone seen Zefron's new film? I haven't yet but apparently he's very good.

I don't know what my one favourite song would be. Probably We're All In This Together (graduation mix). Or Just Wanna Be With You.

I'll leave it at that, I promise :o
