I took my daughter to see this Friday at 12.15 performance. Considering she was off because on Teacher Training Day. We actually never got allowed into the cinema until 12.50. LoaRAB of accompanied junior schools were in there. Well considering the release date was Wednesday and the time was made for first performance 4pm, to stop kiRAB bunking off, I actually thought, since when is taking children to the cinema part of the school curriculum?
Anyway, the story was cheesy (especially Troy driving all the way to see Gabriella, for prom night dance, hence the truck that breaks down every 5 minutes). I actually got what I expected from the cinema performance.
I have to say though sharing an audience of hormonal teenagers screeching as Troy came on screen, clapping, waving along to songs then getting up in the aisle and dancing down in front of the main screen, in the end a bot OTT. But it was also sweet to see them enjoy a film so much.
Well worth the cinema release though!!
