Yeah, but the 'redemption' at the end of HSM2 (which I have a few issues with, but anyway) was so much more than at the end of HSM1. If they were then to revert her to being 'the mean girl', it would seem like the entire plot of the second movie really didn't matter.
 
Changing the topic slightly now . Could you imagine 'HSM' remake in 20 years time! What would you think?
IMO the newer version of Hairspray is more enjoyable, as I was not keen on the original.
I'm not trying to get into a debate here but look at 'Hairspray' and it's only a matter of time that they dare (NOT) touch 'Grease'.
 
I just say forget HSM3 - dont replace her or whatever even though i like Adrienne/Cheetah girls

Atleast V admitted it straight away that should give her some dues
 
You think that with all the potential revenue, they would effectivley kill the third film with a planned release in cinemas? Everyone knows that getting rid of one of the main actors would really put people off. When you change the cast, things are never as good. Especially when the original ones work so well together.

As far as I'm aware, LinRABey wasn't in any high revenue series of films. Vanessa is - they will make her finish the planned three. If they make more, the original cast wasn't going to be in it anyway. (So they won't be very successful).

Besides, it's hardly in the same scale. LinRABey has been publicly recognised with her consistent bad behaviour. Vanessa has had one photo leaked. Slightly different.

Put it this way, if they axe her, it's a bad move and an over-reaction.
 
I think Hairspray is a bit different - it was an adaptation of the musical, which was an adaptation of the original, rather than a remake of the film. Grease, it would just be a remake whereas Hairspray was very different between film (first time round) and stage.
 
I couldn't resist the temptation and "aquired" the film on the internet (of course I shall still be watching it when it comes out on the Disney Channel here).

I didn't think it was possible, but Sharpay actually becomes more a cow...! It reeks of a typical Disney movie - cringe-worthy, emotional, bad guys, good guys, someone "turns a new leaf" then a happy ending. But - that's what makes it SO good!

Not too fussed on Sharpays tunes, but the duets with Troy and Gabriellla, and the cast tunes are fantastic just like the first movie.

Will definitely be buying the DVD when it's out in November!

Vanessa has confirmed that she is doing hsm3 and she said although not everyone has signed the contract yet, everyone is up for doing it. However, Zac said he'll only do it if the script is good.

Kenny Ortega said they have already started writing the script draft and they are going to introduce new characters in the 3rd movie.

SounRAB like it'll be good, especially with the new characters & hopefully Zac will likethe script and sign on!!
