Okay I'm just getting into working on bikes so stay patient. I just bought a 1988 Kawasaki Concours to fix up and sell. I got it running, but after a few seconds it took off to really high rpms. It does it every time I start it now. I did notice that the carb does not have the air box hooked up to it with boots. I suspect that may be the problem, but apparently the previous owner was driving it before he passed on. Maybe he was in the process of putting boots on? Any other suggestions or do you guys think this is the case? Thanks in advance.
