High Performance 69 Cadillac Eldorado Engine?

The only thing I can find is that its engine, the 472, was only used in '68 and '69 in the Eldo. There's no mention of a high-performance version. Maybe the factory or the dealer snuck in a new-for-'70 500 engine. Awesome car!
 
I've asked my mechanic to rebuild the engine in my 1969 Cadillac Eldorado. He told me that after inspecting it he noticed that this was a rare engine that was only made for one year. He explained that it was a higher performance engine. Do you know if this is true? I tried to do a general Google search but could not find anything on a one year limited built performance 69 eldorado block. Thanks for your help.
Hmm... that makes sense. How would I be able to figure out if it is the 500ci engine?
