Hiding Channels in the EPG (Renamed from:Bell Remote)

Is there a way you can delete chan , there is a lot . on there that i can not use or will not need thanks for any help
 
well what i am trying to do , is delete chanels i dont want , like all the french ones , because when i click on guide , i have to get by all of them to get to the others, no point having them there.but cant find out how to eddit them.
 
You need to go into MENU, 5, 2. Then choose the Channels you want to hide.

You will need to pick a 4 digit code to do all this.

Your question should really have been in the Bell TV forum, as this is not really a Remote Question.

You can lock out specific channels, all PPV and some other options found in that menu as Pinza indicated.

You can also use/create favourite lists to display only the channels you are interested in.
 
Be aware that if you hide channels that you don't subscribe to, you won't see them if they are on free preview.
 
Why not just build a favourites list of the channels you want to view? It's easier than setting up locks/passwords and easier to modify. Right now I've got a very short favourites list of Olympics channels only. Makes it extremely easy to switch around to see what's going on. I;ll be dropping it on Monday as the games will be over (sad).
 
If you hide unsubscribed channels (menu selection), and other select channels, then when a promo/free preview comes on, the channels do appear in your EPG.
Already mentioned above :) Personally, I prefer locks and never use the fav lists.
 
I've tried the locks and passwords but it doesn't work on the adult PPV channels. How does one get these off of the EPG without having to use a favourites list or is this possible?

You have to make sure that "HIDE PPV" and "HIDE LOCKED" are chosen. Then lock the channels you don't want (no need to indivdually lock any PPV channels), then lock the system with a 4 digit number. This will hide adult PPV channels and any others that you don't want so that they don't show in the EPG.
