Hey, for the last 3 months i've been hiccuping randomly at least 5 times a day every day. I'm pretty sure these are not going to go away without finding out whats causing them. And boy, do I want to find out whats causing them.
Heres the deal folks, I know it seems silly. But this is a HUGE problem to me because i'm working on becoming a professional singer/actor. Who'd want to hiccup during a solo/part and ruin the performance and mood in front of an entire paying audience? Not me. Since I can't promise that I won't mess up my part because of these hiccups, I can't audition because i'm a liability to the shows performance. Which sucks. Big time.
They obviously arn't natural because i've had them for so long and they pose a very embarrassing threat to my career.
How do I approach my doctor about this? I don't want him to brush it off like its nothing, but I don't want to insist its importance to the point of seeming like a hypocondriac.
