hello is there anyone who can give me specifics on the best way to wean off of zanex? I got one response to my last post and it was very helpful about using valium to supplement but I am looking for anyone who might have some specific steps , I just want to add, I am here seeking help to wean off , I am not abusing my medication , I do have a legitmate need for the reason I am taking zanex and I am responsible with it but after some time has passed I feel stronger in my life and I've over come alot of grief. I've decided I would like to stop taking zanex and use natural remedies if I need to

I am just looking for a safe way to wean off a medication, that is all

I am also here to offer any support I can for opiate addiction as I have faced it myself in my past and overcome it , I have alot of personal experience from frienRAB and family that are currently battling addiction or are in recovery.

Thank you for the replies I have received so far but anyone out there with a step by step that would be so helpful also....Thanks a bunch

I tapered off of xanax using the Ashton method in which you wean off of xanax onto longer lasting valium and the taper the valium,I went from 40 mg of xanax to 80 mg of xanax and tapered down to 20mg of valium. I could have gotten off of them but take at night to help me sleep--I have fibromyalgia. I have never abused xanax or the valium--they just make me sleepy. Any way, good luck, and try the ashton method. It was developed by a doctor.

Thank you rose buddy, I will take a look into that method. It sounRAB like that's about the best way for me to go, I hear that method a lot so it must work well. How long did it take you to finally be done with the zanex without having the withdrawls? I take it to sleep too, I've tied not taking it at night and I'm up all night although tired but my mind won't turn off, I stay up most the night, it's aweful. Does supplementing with the valium make it hard to sleep at night for you? I work full time and have to get up early in the mornings.
