I have a 15 tooth front sprocket on my four wheeler right now but i was thinking of upgrading to a 13 tooth front sprocket will this make the four wheeler do catwalks better? or just better take offs? I have a 38 tooth back sprocket on my four wheeler now do i need to get a different size back sprocket if i get a 13 tooth front sprocket or do i just keep the 38 tooth sprocket? Thanks i tried to word this the best i could

Okay, changing to a smaller front (countershaft) sprocket will give you a bit more low-end pickup, and allow for slower speeds to negotiate tight trails, etc. However, it will also reduce your top speed, and make your engine less fuel efficient at higher speeds. Leave your rear sprocket alone, if you change the front. Try changing to one tooth smaller first (14 instead of 13). That may be all you need and it won't kill you rtop-end. Good luck.
