HI.
i am new to this group. my name is sue. i am 50. and i suffer with agoraphobia anxiety and panic attacks. i am on anti depressants and sleeping tabltes. which i have been on now for 35 years yes i was only 15 when the doctor put me on them. but 4 weeks ago the doctor put me on a new anti depressants called(citalopram and i take one 20mg a day) but i am not doing to well with them. but some one told me that they can take up to 6 to 8 weeks before they stay to work.
well i am all so housebound i can not go out at all. i cant open my front door as i then can feel my legs go to jelly my heart going and i can feel myself shaking inside. and then the panic set in.
then i saw your site and thought this could help me.

Hi Sue,
I'm new to the board too and have not posted yet with my problem. I was just looking it over and saw your post. Don't have a lot of advise, have had some of your feeling during the years, I'm 65yrs old. Seems to me you could get some help on this board just talking with people, if nothing else. I'm sure it must get lonely for you if you don't get out.
It's nice meeting you and I'll be looking for your nexts post. Hope your medicine kicks in and helps you soon. I'll have to post in a different section, but I'll keep an eye out for you to post again.

Hi, Sue. I am new here to I just joined about 15 minutes ago. I don't really have any specific problem but I do have anxiety attacks from time to time. I am 54 years old, single, and unemployed right now. I am a shy quiet person and sometimes it scares me to even go out and look for a job. I'm always afraid I'll do or say the wrong thing or if I do get a job, something bad will happen and they will fire me. It's happened in the past. Anyway I just wanted to say hi. I don't know if I have helped you in any way or not. You are not alone in your feelings.

anyway thanks for posting to me.
please can you get back to me and let me no if you got this post then i was post back to you.as i don't want to do you a post and you don't see it.
anyway to all other members i have not been doing so well of late. i just feel so alone and life is so very hard right now.
