THis is my husbands name on here but I have a question for you all.... I have generalized anxiety disorder and I have panic attacks and all that and have had them for atleast 10 years now. My question is do any of you have them so bad that your heartrate and blood pressure go nuts and noone can talk to you for about 30 minutes so you can do deep breathing and if someone does talk you cant get yourself out of it and feel like you are going to pass out and then call the squad???????? If anyone distracts him he cant pull himself out of it he will just come out of it but it takes awhile. Thanks:confused:

I guess i'm unsure whether it's you or your husband who has the panic disorder but either way i'll try to answer your question the best I can.
I, myself, have been to the ER in the past due to panic attacks and when I have arrived in the ER my blood pressure was sky high and my pulse a good 170 bpm. I suppose it's possible that you are concentrating so much on your breathing that you wouldn't want to talk to anyone during this. Personally I find it helpful when someone talks to me while I am panicing... anything to help distract me is useful so I guess I can't relate but it's different for everyone I suppose.

When you all have panic attacks do you get white as a ghost and cant really move for about 30 minutes or so???? My husband is like that and I have panic attacks and am never like that...we are trying to decide if his are panic attacks or not. Anne

It could be that he's having a seizure. My husband gets them where he just stares at nothing and cannot walk, move much or talk until it passes. He says that when one is coming on he can only see straight in front - everything else is black like he's in a tunnel. He is very tired for a day or two after having one. Thankfully he's on medication and only has them a couple of times a year. Your husband should be checked out by a Neurologist, so see if that is his problem.
