for speed and 6 ft tall 140 lbs? I like Japanese bikes preferably Honda I would really love to own a CBR 1000 but is that too much for a beginner?!?

if you feel the need for speed the the CBRF4I 1000 and the smaller CBR 600 F4I are both chipped at 186mph..A 600 is probably best for a beginner thats what I did is go with the 600 but I wish I had a CBR1000 re chipped or check out the Honda 919

Whether or not a 1000 is too much for a beginner really depends on the person(personality,age-maturity,sanity..etc...)so without knowing you ill give you my opinion. An older 600 is a good starting bike-it will have enough power to keep your interest and they are perfect bikes to learn all the cornering, braking, and riding techniques youll need learn for when you do move up to the liter bikes.

A beginner with a "need for speed".
The graveyard is already full them.
Try a moped.
You'll live longer.

for a beginner get a small bike like a 250 .get used to riding cornering and stopping and getting used to it. wear leather and a helmet. that way if you make a mistake you'll still have all your skin and your brains. motor cycles are a blast but take your time so you can enjoy it for a long time

as a beginner, you have no need for speed, you have too much to learn, and to look out for.
