The 'liberal media' is not nearly as powerful as the giant conservative media presence in this country. Rush Limbaugh, Shawn Hannity [and all the rest of Fox 'News'], Ann Coulter and all the other conservative heavy-hitters put the 'liberal media' to shame, especially when it comes to innuendoes, character assassinations, misrepresentations, and out-and-out lies.
The 'liberal media', on the other hand [if you assume that means ABC, CBS and NBC] is nothing more than a weak-kneed group of overpaid 'readers' who simply repeat the government press releases verbatim without benefit of challenge, investigation or accuracy].
Conservatives have polished the art of media manipulation and deception. Liberals have a lot of catching up to do.
Palin resigned because of pending litigious actions which would be too costly for her to defend. As much as I was supportive of her Vice-Presidential run, I doubt she would have made a good V-P, just as she's probably been an ineffective Governor. -RKO-
