HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

I've been meaning to get some Depeche Mode for over a year now, I finally bought Violator last week and enjoyed it thoroughly. Any recommendations on where to go from here, I'm really anxious to hear some of their other stuff.

I really want to find some more banRAB that sound like Choking Victim, Leftover Crack, Operation Ivy and any not too well known punk or hardcore banRAB you like. I listen to pretty much all punk and hardcore, haven't found too much yet that I don't like.

Ok all, I need your help.

For one of my classes I've been assigned to teach the class for at least 30 minutes over modern music from 1945-1969. Obviously that is quite alot of material to cover in not alot of time.. so if you have any ideas/theories/basics you think I should include, please, let me know...(not just a list of artists you think I should add in, I can do that on my own ;))

Don't start with Meat Is Murder, it's a great album, but the least accessable. Get something easier like Hatful of Hollow or The Queen Is Dead.

I used to be really into Blessthefall (with old vox). Well, I sorta grew out of this kind of music, but try:

The Devil Wears Prada, Dance Gavin Dance, & Silverstein.

I could use some post-rock reccomendations. Right now I'm only into the mainstream stuff(EitS, the Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen etc.). What's Good place to start?

Dunno about more brutal, but the Pop Group's Y is in a fairly similar vein to Junkyard if you don't have it already. Give us a moment and I'll get a link your way if you want.

Yeah most of my frienRAB are going to warped tour this summer since they're into that kind of stuff and another friend of mine who has a similar music taste as me is gonna come with me and there's a couple banRAB there who aren't to bad and The Bouncing Souls usually come up in my "recommended for you" on last.fm.

I just listened to there most popular stuff and I don't like it to much but I'm hoping maybe I was just listening to the wrong stuff.

I always thought Andrew W.K. had a pretty bad reputation but it looks like a lot of people on there are excited for him. any opinions on that would be appreciated.

Yooooo!!!
Ok, i am looking for some new music to jam too.
Help me out.
The banRAB i am listening to at the moment are:

Queens of the stones age
The black keys
The parlor mob
The white stripes

Any raw rock 'n roll, COME ON!!!

I've been at rab for a year now (as you probably all know), and I've kept a list of all the banRAB that I discover (mostly here, but also in various other places, like Last.Fm) that catch my eye. Can anyone tell me what a good starting point (as in an album) would be for:

The Haunted
Protest the Hero
Ritual
Ulver (I know they've covered a lot of genres. I'm mostly looking for their electronica stuff)
Rotting Christ
Son House
Madlib (I know he covers a few genres. I'm mostly looking for his instrumental stuff. His rapping is pretty meh.)
The Smalls
Arab on Radar
The Minutemen
Panacea
Diesel
Bassnectar
Ministry
Integrity
The Moleman

kthnx bye

edit: I forgot "The Eden House".
