HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

Don't think a lot of those would fall under d'n'b to be perfectly honest. Anyway, judging by those...

Lunatic Calm
Cirrus
Junkie XL
The Crystal Method (stay the hell away from their latest album though!)
Apollo 440
The Future Sound Of London (first 3 albums)
Goldie
A Guy Called Gerald

I'm 40.play a little guitar,and the band/artist that's a tough question.I stated out at 9 listening to Kiss,and as I got older became more of a Janis Joplin,Jimi Hendrix fan,and then of course SRV.I listen to T-bone Walker,Gatemouth Brown Guns n Roses.Grateful Dead
Rage against the machine, Led Zeppelin etc.

Hey I was seeing if anyone could help me out getting some cap'n jazz all i have been able to find is there Schmap album. Would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks

I am a great fan of Pink Floyd. I have heard almost all of their tracks and some of my fav ones are below.

1. Comfortably Nurab
2. The Wall
3. High hopes
4. Hey You
5. Sorrow
6. Run Like hell
7. Shine on you crazy Diamond
8. Echoes
9. Learning to Fly
10. Wish you were here.

After hearing these tracks for a long time, i did some research on their genres i.e. Psychedelic and Progressive Rocks (correct me if I am wrong).

I downloaded some of the top songs of these genres (after going through blogs and articles) but I never found these tracks soulful and melodic like Pink Floyd tracks.

I would be really grateful if someone can suggest me lyrical (philosophical) and soulful melodies like my fav Pink Floyd tracks above.

Thanks

i also suggest squirrel nut zipper. looks like you are already checking out big bad voodoo daddy - they are great live. looking forward to see them again.

i'd avoid cherry poppin daddies as they were a rock band until swing came into fation and only their 1st swing album has anything worth listening to on it.

I agree with the earlier discussion on this board that Prog tenRAB to be very love it or leave it... I'm personally on the love it side of that equation, I gotta admit...
