HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

I'm looking for some angst-ridden music of pretty much any variety of rock. I already love:
The Replacements
smashing pumpkins
titus andronicus
Dinosaur jr
NIN (not entirely rock, but whatever)

Ahh yes so you're tired of metalcore, that is understandable.

I'm going to send you "Accelerated Evolution" by The Devin Townsend Band. It's very progressive and easily accessible for first time listeners of his type of music.

Hey. My friend and I heard these two hilarious songs about a year ago in this man's car, and I want to find out what they were.

One of them went:
"Mama said...I said Mama...Mama said...I said Mama" over and over again. It was ridiculous.

The other went:
"People, people, people, people!" over and over. Also ridiculous.

They weren't rock, or anything, just like jamming I guess. If anyone recognizes these songs please let me know!

Give Out But Don't Give Up is a little more Rock orientated than Screamadelica and that is probably their best album. I like to save the best albums until last ;) I still have'nt heard their latest still :(

The Tossers, although they are quite reined-in musically and much more lyric-centric than those too. Still worth a shot though.

And then there's the obvious one, that being the Pogues.

Hi all,I have recently listened to Rhianna and really like the song Urabrella could anyone suggest more songs like that.Other songs I really like are 99 Problems,California,Keep there heaRAB ringing, and Window shopper just to name a few,but I really like the feel of those particular songs.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

im also looking for some electronic type music(not electro indie like LCD sounRABystem) but more just rave type stuff if you follow. i LOVE daft punk and im looking for something similar. any ideas?

I've never heard of any of those. You sure they ever got radio play?

I said I was on a flashback spree....I don't think I could reminisce about shit I never heard before...

I didn't really know where else to ask.

Thanks for the help, but I'm trying to find metal breakdowns..I never really thought I'd ever get into that kind of stuff and am kind of erabarrassed to ask.

Cheers! Not the biggest fan of Hella (Zach Hill is a great drummer, but his music just sounRAB like it's falling apart all the time), but maybe I haven't heard the right stuff. I'll look harder.

Thanks for the recs, everyone.
