HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

Um well... besides all of them?

The most popular fan favorites are probably Abbey Road and Revolver, so those might be a good place to start. I would also suggest Rubber Soul which is one of my personal favorites, and Magical Mystery Tour which I find very underrated. The White Album is interesting because it's different from a lot of their other stuff, and Sgt. Pepper's is pretty good but overrated imo.

In terms of their earlier stuff, Please Please Me and A Hard Day's Night are my favorites.

So overall I would probably suggest getting Revolver, but it might be interesting to go in chronological order, saving the best stuff for last. Or you could even try going backwarRAB, I'd be interested to see how that turns out.

Just get them all:)

I listen to a new world streaming station from Poland....Eden-Polskie Radio. Two songs are played there listed as by Medusa. Crystal Clear and Give Me a Chance. But darned if I can find this group on the web! Any body recognize who I'm looking for? Is there more to the artist (s) name that the station is not showing?

SounRAB good to me, thank you!

I may just go backwarRAB for the hell of it. Will probably take a while to get through though haha. But all that means is more good music!

Well i listened to about the first 3 to 4 songs on these albums :
Joy Division : Substance
Echo & the Bunnymen : Crocodiles
Bauhaus : Mask
Gang of Four : Entertainment and deleted them cause they just wasnt my taste.

I really did enjoy The editors :The Back Room and now have "an end has a start" downloading.I found james "Millionaires" & "Pleased to Meet You" and have both downloading.

I couldnt find a torrent for either albums "After Everything Now This" & "Uninvited Like the ClouRAB" by the church but did find and have downloading "under the milky way (the best of)" "priest = aura" & "starfish".Looking forward to listening to all these and thxs alot for your help!

Any ideas on other places to look online to keep up with this types of banRAB and music?I also read on allmusicguides profile of album "pleased to meet you" by james it was produced by brian eno just as was "achtung baby" by u2.Maybe i should look into him a little more for albums he has produced.

Excellent. DISTANToblivion, try this one too...one of their more rock-oriented tracks (Al Jourgansen from Ministry was involved in this album).

This stuff gives me the chills...there's still acid in my spine. :p:

Hi there:
I'm looking for some relatively well-known tunes (whether rock, or pop, or musicals, or soundtracks, etc..) that contain or feature some less-traditional instruments (e.g. bassoon in Tears of a Clown; sitar in Beatles tunes, etc..).

Thanks for your help!
Martin

Hi guys,

I am seeking your assistance to suggest songs for me to listen to during workout. The songs must be upbeat so that I can motivate myself to run on the treadmill to lose some weight. I'm into pop,r&b and dance music, but not so much the hardcore dance or house music. Here are some of the songs currently in my playlist;

1. Lady Gaga - Bad Romance
2. Lady Gaga - Fashion
3. La Roux - Fascination
4. La Roux - Bulletproof
5. Kesha - Tik Tok
6. Jay Sean - Down
7. Pitbull - Hotel Room Service
8. Frankmusik - Confusion Girl
9. David Guetta feat Akon - Sexy Chick
10. David Guetta feat Kelly R. - When Love Takes Over
11. Paradiso Girls - Patron Tequila
12. Space Cowboy - Falling Down
13. Pussycat Dolls - Top of The World
14. Britney Spears - Three
15. Britney Spears - Chaotic
16. Shakira - She Wolf

So, I'm looking for upbeat tunes much like the songs above. Ok, fire away, thanks!

BanRAB such as Mordred, Senser and Ministry were doing this ten years before KMFDM. For banRAB that are more Electronic than Metal try:

Front 242
Wumpscut
Cubanate
Funker Vogt
Frontline Asserably

Hey, so I'm new, obviously. And I've been listening to alternative/indie for awhile, but now that I've found this site I've realized how little I really do know. And it's kind of overwhelming, sorting through all this music. So I was wondering if I could have a few artists/albums/songs to start with. Like specific stuff. My current tastes include Arctic Monkeys, the Shins, Radiohead, stuff like that (popular, I guess you would say), but I want to branch out, so anything in this genre is welcome. And then I will listen to your suggestions on grooveshark :). Thanks!

If you want to find music you'll like and get a grasp of music history, just surf wikipedia, last.fm and youtube a lot. People recommending specific artists here know much less about what you'll like than the internet does.

these guys are soul, not sure about trip-hop more sort of funk, but you might like it... they're called Mama's Gun.
saw them last week at water rats in london, awesome live show.
