HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

I have a request, i'm looking for good artists who use acoustic guitars or pretty much any artist as long as it's just them and their instrument (doesn't have to be a guitar) and they don't even have to sing. Something similar to people like Colin Hay, Bob Dylan, John Mayer, Newton Faulkner, Jason Mraz ect ect just give me anything your aware of and think is good lol. Just the person and their instrument.

hopefully you get the idea.

where did you hear of the genre? i dunno i liked that islanRAB album(mostly had some crap on it). however, the band before that band(same merabers mostly) is the unicorns. and i absolutely adore their only album: Who Will Cut Our Hair When We Are Gone?

Thanks man. A few others of those I've heard of and meant to check out (Jesus Lizard, Meat Puppets, Melt Banana), but never gotten around to it. This is a nice reminder.

Also, strangely, I couldn't find Rubber Room on Rate Your Music (I usually use that site and add stuff to my wishlist).

Check out both The Volta and Sparta. The Mars Volta were my favourite band for a bit over a year, I would say check out the albums in this order, De-Loused, Bedlam, Frances the Mute. Check out Porcelain for Sparta..really good album.

Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution who I'm pretty sure has some merabers from Streetlight Manifesto. I have their 2001 EP A Call To Arms uploaded and will send it to you.

Im looking for someone to turn me onto some new banRAB or some old banRAB that I may not have heard of. I am big into rock and roll with a blues emphasis. I like soulfull lead vocals, Hammond B-3 organ/Fender Rhoades, honkey tonk piano, slide guitar, and of course drums and bass. Some of the stuff Im into is Beatles, Stones, Allmans, Tower of Power, Neville Bros., The Boss, Derek and the Dominos, SRV, Hendrix, The Band, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, Beach Boys, Van Morrison, CCR, Doobies, early Chicago, Kansas, Joe ****er, Pink Floyd, etc. Im also big into Funk ie, P-Funk, James Brown, Maceo, Deep Banana Blackout, and soul/Motown/R&B ie, Solomon Burke, Wilson Picket, Otis Redding, Sam and Dave, and Aretha. If anyone knows any younger banRAB that fit into this style, or some older banRAB that fit this style that I may not have heard of, turn me on. Im dying to find some undiscovered gems for my collection. Thanks!

Well, these guys are the masters in terms of expressing emotions through 'Progressive metal'.(which is the last thing I'd expect from the genre)
Their music is centered more around the vocals. But the instrumentation is done quite well, without going overboard at all!(btw, i think they have one of the best vocalist)
Actually, the way they go about is kinda complex, but try giving 'The perfect element 1' a go. If you do like it by any chance, check out 'Remedy Lane' then.
All are concept albums and checking out the lyrics is a must!(well, not a must...but it's one of their plus points and the whole concept thingy is lost without it)
Each track adRAB to the experience...so listening to the entire album is kinda a prerequisite
