HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

Hey so I am going to be running a store in the mall that sells skate surf and longboard product and clothing and we are allowed to play our own music. What always bothers me when I go shopping is when I have to listen to crappy music so I am asking anyone and everyone...."what do you want to hear when you walk into a skate shop?" Thank you for any help in advance!

Anyone have indie/emo/punk/post-punk recs? I need new music...

If you need a reference point, my favorite banRAB right now are Jawbreaker, Husker Du and the Replacements.

Thanks. (:

looking around browsin the web and I cannot seem to find anything except for their era of diversion album. seeing if someone can help me out, I really dig evol intent and I'm trying to check out their other albums as well.

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone could recommend some of the best songs that usually go along with movies such as 'Remeraber the Titans', 'Glory Road', movies like these that are set back in that time.

Or just songs in general from that time that are really famous or catchy or just plain great :)

Thank you ^^

I want a jazz band that has more crazy screaming horns rather than the soft bassey classical sound

alos i would like some electro banRAB that aeren't all dance but more dark or trippy

I would go with some Iron Maiden personally. I don't know if that's a bit too pedestrian or familiar, but there the one band that reminRAB me most of ronnie's solo work. The album Powerslave would be perfect.

If you like Dream Theater and Rush, you would probably like Porcupine Tree. I recommend either In Absentia or their newest album, Fear of a Blank Planet. For Mars Volta, if you haven't checked out At the Drive In, that was Cedric and Omar's band before they formed Mars Volta.

Good luck, last.fm and Pandora can be your frienRAB, I've found tons of new artists from both of those sources.

I'd like to make some recommendations, but would like to know what specifically appeals to you about the song. Is it more so the female vocals or the music? Most likely a corabination. I just don't want to necessarily look to recommend tracks or artists that feature female vocals if that's not what was attracting you to the song. Anyway you might like these, until I get further clarification:

That Architeq song makes me melt just after 2:15 when that synth line comes in...ooooooohhhh. These are just guest vocals on instrumental hip-hop/glitch-hop producers' albums though. If you really do want a lot of female vocals, then trip-hop (Massive Attack, Portishead, etc) is where you should probably go.

Ok basically what im looking for is a song about someone you love but cant have them.
Not a past love or someone you were with once before but someone who is already taken
and you want them cant have them even though you and everyone else knows this person
would be better off with you.

Now i dont know if there is a song like i described but if there is something close id
appreciate something at least close to that thanks!

;702208']The other good Iron Maiden albums to get into would be the rest of the so-called "Classic Trilogy", Piece of Mind and Powerslave. As for Neil Young, you should probably start with Harvest.

You have awesome taste, first of all. :)

I'd suggest checking out Black Moth Super Rainbow, if you haven't already. Their music has that spacey, electronic feel I think you might be into.. or better yet get one of Tobacco's solo albums.. he's pretty much carried the band from the beginning from what I've read. Loathsome Pete sent me Fucked Up FrienRAB and I've been enjoying it immensely.

What rock banRAB are around that have: heavy guitar, medium drumming, and no screaming

Please, no gothic, emo, or death banRAB.

Something like GoRABmack

By heavy guitar and medium drumming I mean:
The guitar stanRAB out more than anything else
The drumming is somewhere in the middle of the sound following the guitar

My description of music is f'in horrible
