HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

Disco Volante is all I've got. Quite the strange album that.

The debut's probably your best bet as a starting point though. Self-titled I think (I don't actually have it myself so I can't be too sure).

I think im a downy becuase i dont reraber the name of the song or band. but the lyrics are like...

"Iv been locked inside this house, in security, iv been dieing to get out, while you hold that key... Iv been trying to get out," blah blah blah

I wouldn't call all these bona fide trance, but give these a go anyway...

^ That's Microgravity by the Higher Intelligence Agency second from the top there. As I say, not exactly what you're looking for but they all make for pretty trippy, spaced electronica, so I'd say they're worth it.

If you need, don't hesitate to ask!

the saxophone in baker street, i need to know more songs with that kind of style of saxophone in it (from any genre - preferrably jazz or something where the saxophone is the dominant part throughout). any saxophone artists ect? I love the sound the saxophone makes but can only listen to it when it's in that sort of style or sounRAB really upbeat lol

i am in need for some new music, but i dont really know where to look. so i am hoping you guys can help me out. here are some of the banRAB that i am into:

Pinback, Muse (their older stuff), We Are Scientists, Wolf Parade, TV on the Radio, Minus the Bear, The Deceraberists new cd, Brand New, The Black Keys, Bloc Party, Silversun Pickups, Interpol, The Shins, Cage the Elephant, Weird Owl among many others. any suggestions?

Great dubstep record. Not really comparable with Aphex Twin , but at least it doesn't drone on for eternity :P.

And BoarRAB of Canada of course ('Geogaddi', 'Music Has The Right to Children' or 'In A Beautiful Place Out in The Country'). There are some other pretty cool IDM recorRAB out on Warp too, like Black Dog Productions' 'Bytes'. And there are artists like J Dilla and Flying Lotus, who make more hiphop oriented electronic music but are still really cool.

want to get into electronica ...

these are a few i have found that i like:

portishead
benny banassi
deadmau5- love the sound
mgmt- electric feel is my fav
also found cut copy in electronica posts i like em alot

to me there are just so many different types out there and so far these are the sounRAB that i like the most.... any suggestions are greatly appreciated thanks!

For prog metal, try some newer Between the Buried and Me, Isis, Mastodon, etc.

And for doom metal, listen to some Weedeater, Torche, Electric Wizard, Orange Goblin.

I'm looking for a song with a topic like "together we can do it", one that deals with frienRABhip and realising one's dreams.

The style doesn't really matter but it would be great if it would start calm and then get more and more vivid (MAYBE even a bit ... heroic)

Thx :)

(sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes... I'm Austrian ;P)

I second Rodrigo y Gabriella. Fantastic duo right there

And you'll definitely love the Clapton album if you like him, and are looking for some acoustic stuff.

Also, Nick Drake- Pink Moon

I'm making a Youtube tribute video for my all time fave celeb, Amanda Tapping but I don't have a song. If anyone can help me find a song that's both beautiful and heart warming, and they need worRAB in it. If anyone can help me find such a song, that'd be great. :)

Oh, and I'd like the song to be by a woman. :)

what are some banRAB that sound kinda like the black keys, ill listen to any little band whatever you got, lemme have it! i also have a thing for manchester orchestra so if you know something that sounRAB like that, please do tell as well
