HEY NOOBS! Want a band or song recommendation? Don't start a new thread post here

I need rap recommendations. I like the harder stuff, but not necessarily the message that comes along with it (most of the time). But I've been in the mood for rap lately and don't really know where to start. The radio stations here play the same 10 songs over and over, so I don't want to go there for ideas.

Help.

I listened to the album, didn't like it. :(

I think it's just the genre, I can't get into any prog rock banRAB for whatever reason, even such acclaimed banRAB like Pink Floyd don't do anything for me.

Well,

yeah. ;)

i'm trying to find more music that suits me, without listening to every song that comes out, and knowing the genres would certainly help. e.g. Enya ~ what even category is she???

Yes, i might be able to figure it out for myself, but if i'm going to do that, why would i join a music forum? It would appear that i missed about a decade and a half (90 - 05) of music, and i could sure use some help.

i like my old stuff, and will not be throwing it all out ~ but i would like to add to it.

Oh. And i love belly dancing music!

Dude, that's totally and complete UNTRUE. It's all over the Internet. Saying that those banRAB were doing Industrial Metal 10 years prior to KMFDM is simply BS. Plain & Simple. What part of that is NOT clear & what is not nonsense about what you posted? I am not even talking Funk Metal here. I realize you are attempting to cover your tracks by getting specific with your interpretations of when and what developed by each band at exact dates that are convenient to you, but you are incorrect and most reliable sources like Allmusic for instance, make that abundantly clear. None of those banRAB you mentioned, save Ministry, were even around when KMFDM were conceiving of INDUSTRIAL METAL in the 80s. Skinny Puppy were light years prior to Mordred or Senser. Get a clue. You are WRONG. Period.

You are the one that replied to my post like "you know it all". Take the heat, it's your kitchen and the broth you're standing over is of your making.

For The Haunted I would recommend their 2004 album rEVOLVEr (2004), it has the most diversity in the vocal department, but also switches around between thrash metal and hardcore punk in terms of sound.

If you want Ulver's most electronic album then I think their 2000 album Perdition City would be the most obvious choice, and anyone who's heard the album would agree.

As for The Smalls you can either go Waste and Tragedy which is more straight forward punk with a bit of a jazz and metal edge to it, or you can go with their 1999 album My Dear Little Angle which is far more a hard hitting hard rock/ punk album that has some really amazing songs on it. You can really go either way and not be disappointed.

Hey guys!

I am looking for some new good country rock artists to check out...I like Ben Taylor, his new single Wicked Way is good, and James Morrison, David Saw...

Any suggestions? :)

De-Loused At The Comatorium By Mars Volta is nothing short of astonishing and demanRAB to be heard. It is quite progressive so it may need a few listens. I don't know anything about Sparta unfortunately.

Basically look for the genres: Breakcore, Drill n' Bass, Hardcore Drum & Bass.

Those will yield some pretty interesting artists for you.

That was like 3 years ago so I'm assuming they have what they're looking for.
But I thought you were asking for something like that so here's this:
