hey mafia! help flashing a new phone!

My bro got tired of AMPD MOBILE already so i convinced him to get cricket :clapping: lol he has a kyocera kx18 its exacly the same thing as the kx5 it just aRAB pushtotalk... i was wondering is theres a full flash file out there for kx5's and if it would work on it... i dont see why not.. any help Mafia?? its a pretty sweet phone he's had it for about 7 months already and never had all those problems with it that all of us retired kx5'vrs had lol but yea what do u guys think? :help:

as long as it really i s a cdma phone all you really have to do is load the cricket PRL on it and thats it. You have to get a cable for the kx5. Your in tucson right? Ill help you out PM me.

haha yea i hate kyos too... that phone is tiite tho!! he's had it for a while n still no problems unlike the kx5...its diferent too its all white n glittery haha perfect for my lil sis

I'd be interested to know if any kyo's can be flashed over with working MMS and internet, BREW would probably be pushing it though.

there are several other differences between the kx5 and kx18 besides ptt- one has bluetooth, one is evdo, one is 1.3mp camera, et. al.... if you could get wap and mms and brew working you would have to load all the settings through KPST and not flash with a KX5 file.
