Hey guys, I have no clue when it comes to newsgroups, NZB files etc, please help....

Im lost now..what does Alt binz actually do?? how easy is it to find the files, and does it take an hour or so to grab the files from the usenet ect to download??

Alt.Binz is the program that makes it possible to download all the goodies from Usenet from a server. It will grab the articles (just like parts when you download with a P2P program) and put it together to make a complete file. After that it will check that the RAR files are okay with the PAR files so it can unpack the files.

You can just search up what you want on http://www.newzleech.com or binsearch.info and create an NZB file that you can import into Alt.Binz.
 
Usenet is a protocol, a network of connected computers/servers around the world. To connect to this network, you need to subscribe to a usenet provider, such as Giganews and Astraweb, which costs money. Once you have subscribed, you get your account details. With you account details, you will have to input them into a newsreader, which connects you to the usenet network, through the usenet provider you subscribed with.

thank you, Im starting to understand, can I download files from this site, the NZB files some people have added attachments in...and take them with newsleecher, or do I need to subscribe to usenet, or something similar??:unsure:
