My book is about an english nannie in america who looks after the Daynton children (Hariette and Adelle) this particular extract is close to the beginning of the book Thanks!!
5:35pm
Very good day actually, Adelle who is going through said “teething phase” did not (in fact) add more stress lines to my prematurely ageing face, she was a ball of angelic bliss gurgling happily and eating the chopped pineapple (requested by Mrs. Daynton) I had prepared for her. She looked as though she was bestowing a majestic favour upon me as she smiled with her gums from her high chair. Hariette, however, looked waspishly at both me and Adelle refusing to eat her pineapple. After many piteous attempts at trying to convince her that pineapple was a big girl’s dish to eat, she slid off her seat and stormed out of the sterile white kitchen and into the huge cream living space. Looking around I wondered how such a kitchen, decorated in blistering white, has no sign of family life let alone the occasional mucky fingerprint decorating the countertops. I was quickly bought out of my dreaming thoughts when a handful of sticky pineapple chunks hit my face followed by (the already Mrs. Daynton like tinkle) laughter of the Adelle variety
Tell me what you think and if you would buy it from a shop etc!
