hey about japanese koi fish?

could i have a japanese Koi fish one as a pet in a fish tank if i got the right size i know they live in ponds but would this be possible also i heard a 55 gallon tanks will do i heard it form ppl who own koi in 55 gallon tanks or could i have a kitty pool in my room and raise them in that? for like 1-2 years then sell them before they get to big and die that was my plan cause ive known ppl who have done that!in there rooms without 400pound ponds
 
You could do that until they get a little larger, then you will need to transfer it to a pond. Why do you want one so bad? Just get a goldfish for a 55 gallon
