compounds with carbon-carbon double bonds, such as ethylene, C2H4, ad hydrogen in a rxn called hydrogenation.

C2H4(g) + H2(g) -> C2H6(g)

Calculate the enthalpy change for this rxn, using the following combustion data:

C2H4 (g) + 3O2(g) -> 2CO2 (g) + 2H2O (l); delta H = -1411kj

C2H6 (g) + (7/2) O2(g) -> 2CO2 (g) + 3H2O(l); delta H = -1560kj

H2(g) + (1/2)O2 (g) -> H2O(l); delta H = -286 jk

i'm not sure where to start or how to work the problem. in all actuallity, i really do not know what it's asking. any help will be appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
