Here's Your File Utility . . . .

I have always liked (as you all know) "SysTool" for viewing saved and unsaved preferences. It's freeware, simple, small (11k) and great.

Filez, also freeware, allows this as well, but also gives a hex editor and the ability to export the list to Memo Pad. VERY handy for "keeping track" of saved/unsaved prefs to know what "odd ones" are later on.

Well, the new TealMover now in final beta will give you all of that plus some other stuff, including the one I "tout" the most" ability to CHANGE the default dynamic stack request by applications to give them more "oomph" if you're running desktop accessories while that app is open.

I changed Agendus from 3,300 to 6000, for instance - same with MobileDB, and THEN moved them to flash. Once you change the setting and hotsynch, it CHANGES permanently the .prc in your backup/archive folders as well - so if you ever reinstall the change is there. In Agendus it actually has to "create a file," but that's never been a problem and is unnecessary with most apps.

Suffice it to say that TealMover now does it all - I had filez intalled as well as SysTool to do things TealMover wouldn't - now that is unnecessary.

The new beta is 1.97 and I'm not sure what final version will be - probably 2.0 - but it's available on the Tealpoint Beta Page and I'd urge everyone, not just the "tweakers," to take a look at it. TMover was my first Teal app nearly 3 years ago, so it's near and dear to me, and now much improved!
