Here's A Riddle. Solve It!?

My teacher asked this one Day. I Know what it is, Do YOU?
What walks on four lets in the morning, Two In The After Noon, And Three At Night:)
 
A human, at birth we crawl then we walk on our 2 legs then when we are old we use a walking cane!..10 points?

Yes, this is my dad's favorite riddle, so I (unfortunately) hear it a lot.

The time of day is a metaphor for the stage of life of a human.

We walk on four legs as babies, two legs until middle age, and three legs (counting a walking cane) as old folks.

four in morning is for babies because they are crawling using two hands and two feet which makes it four
two in the afternoon because a normal person walks with two feet
and three at night because an old person has two feet plus a cane to help him walk which makes it three

At the beginning of life (the morning) he crawls as a baby. During the middle of his life he walks on two legs and at the end of his life (the night) he walks with a cane (three legs).
