Here is the prime example of why you will never see a cure for cancer.

Hmm there hasn't been an update on the U of A's webpage about the testing since Oct 2008..

There is this breast cancer trial though, apparently underway. at UCLA

The best part is this is just a cheap copy of all the good conspiracy theories. It's half "BIG EVIL CORPORATION SUPPRESSING DISCOVERIES FOR PROFIT" and half "WE CAN PUT A MAN ON THE MOON BUT WE CAN'T ______".

Now you are just trolling, or have downs.

But that video in the first post is from canada, who the fuck cares, our healthcare blows and so do our scientists.

Incorrect.

I am sure some witty troll statement will make it so huh? Guys with 100k posts and even 40k posts must have great jobs or time outside of OT, to you know...learn stuff or maybe do something to help their country.

I wont even bother reading your shit you make up anymore...gl though.../heres to 40k more lol.

The biochemistry of deoxycholic acid is fairly known in the cells. To sum everything up, the video is wayy out dated, and deoxycholic acid or DCA as they refer to, is not a miracle drug, in fact its not even close.

If you want the cutting edge of cancer research, utilize your school's vast collection of online journals and do some research.

On a related note, this was in the news today:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8714085.stm

Apparently a vaccine for breast cancer that works on mice has been developed. It seems that they are getting ready to test it on humans. I thought that it was pretty exciting.

At this point I think he's a high schooler with no knowledge of how research works. His dad is probably a pharmacist for a big company so he's "in the industry" and has a lot of inside information on why the cure will never be released.

Now, after watching this 2 minute video clip from a local news station, he is educated as to the treatment of cancers.

A vaccine? Aren't vaccines usually for viruses? I know there a vaccine for that one virus that can cause cervical cancer. I wonder if this is the same principle.

all they have is an in-vivo murine model which has shown promising results. reproduce that in humans then we'll talk

Whole lot of idiots in this thread.

Threads that start with Youtube videos are mostly shit though, probably 99.9% of them.
