Everyday a man walks his dog along a certain walk. First he walks across a bridge. Then he goes around a large rock. Then he gets to a forest. He doesn't like walking through the forest so he walks around and ends up at a huge lake. Then he turns back and goes home.
One day he is on his walk when he reaches the forest. Suddenly his dog runs off into the forest.
How far into the forest can the dog run?

Hi.

My answer would be, up to and until the rock. The assumption here is that he is walking from home towards the forest but I choose to assume that he is on his way back home, after the lake.

This is a little semantic riddle.

Realistically we can expect the dog to run all the way through the forest. But semantically, he can only run halfway into the forest before he starts leaving the forest again.
