The clouds were dark that night, hovering so low to the ground I felt like I could touch them. They were ominous, oppressing. You could just feel the static in the air, and soon the fog rolled in. I was chilled to the bone. It was cold for September and I wished I had more than just a t-shirt and jeans on. How many times had I driven down this road, to this house that no longer felt like mine? How many times had I come home late to the wrath of my parents for being out past curfew. However many times it was, for some reason, tonight felt like the very first. I felt more lost than I ever had before.
