Hey, everyone, just want to add my two cents.

I read GoRABGirl4ever06's thread about a week ago, and I've been using it for, um, 3 days I believe. I really didn't expect anything, but this is really doing something! I can't believe I'm seeing a difference this fast. This sounRAB crazy, but I'm actually getting my hopes up. I'd had a relatively bad breakout last week, grrr. Anyway, I've never had any heal as fast as these have, it's hard to believe. My acne has been severe in the past, not at it's worst lately, but still moderate to severe, always have multiple active spots. I've tried so many things over the years. The conditioner also seems to be moisturizing my face as well, today I didn't have to use moisturizer, which is very unusual for me. I have very oily skin, but also seems to be dry/flaky after washing, but not with the conditioner.

Anyway, I'm prolly not explaining this very well, and I know it's only been 3 days, but I just had to say something. I'm so sick of starting to hope, only to have whatever it is stop working, but that doesn't stop me from trying. I'll post updates.

For anyone trying this...which conditioner are you using? are you using the new line or the old one? which type? Ive been doing the water only method for a week now, its working good but Im dealing with flakes and clogged pores. Does it help exfoliate? moisturize? clean the pores out? Are you dealing with flakes or dryness at all? And for those of you who its working for, have you ever tried the water only method before? How is it compaired to this? Thanks!
 
I am intrigued that this seems to be working for people! How bizarre! Anyone else tried it?

Is the conditioner just used for washing, what moisturizer/other products do you use?

Would love to hear if this has worked for anyone else...

I couldn't find the original kind, I'm using the kind for colored/permed/dry/damaged hair, GoRABGirl4ever06 said it worked just as well. It's in one of the older style bottles, a solid kind of light pink.

I'm used to having to exfoliate every day, I used to use a microdermabrasion cloth, now I only use it once every couple of weeks if I need to. The way I've been exfoliating for a while now is (probably sounRAB strange) just using my hanRAB to rub the dead skin off. I've found that to be the gentlest method, I do it when I take a shower, after my skin's been wet for a while, it comes off easy. Now that I'm using this conditioner though, my skin's much easier to exfoliate, it's like the dead skin just about falls off. Maybe that's because it's healing so fast, that's why there's so much dead skin to get rid of. I'm wondering if, (crossing my fingers), after my skin has healed, I won't need to exfoliate very often. But my skin's much less flaky, and I really have had a problem with that all my life.

My skin is much less dry already in the few days I've been using it. I haven't used 'acne' products on my skin for a long while now, it seemed to me to just make my skin break out worse, and plus I couldn't deal with the dryness.

Also, I wear makeup everyday (I wish I didn't have to), and it didn't seem like the conditioner would take that off good enough, so I just use the soap I've been using for a long time before I wash with the conditioner. (The soap is all-natural, some kind of french clay, very gentle) Then after I use the conditioner, I use an alcohol-free toner (which I just bought, it seems really nice), the brand is Nivea, Visage Alcohol-Free Moisturizing Toner for All Skin Types, it's really nice.

I don't know yet about the clogged pores, I'm hoping it'll help with that too, and no, I've never used the water only method, as I said, I wear makeup, so that really wouldn't work for me.
 
I just wanted to say that I read a post in here that Herbal essance helps clear up acne. I was like ya riiiight!!! Well I bought a trail size just to try. I have just been using the conditioner.. So anyways I bought the trail size and I still have it. I only use alittle bit and OMG my face is like 100% better my husband has even said something!! I was like no way. I have told alot of people about it that have the same problem as me. Im not really bad with acne but I mean I have it. None the less...I would like to thank whomever recommended that!!!
 
Please, please, please can somebody confirm which conditioner should be used for this method.................................. .................................

I already have the HERBAL ESSENCES SILK N' SHINE CONDITIONER (for dry / damaged hair), with ROSE HIPS, JOJOBA and VITAMIN E extracts in it, which is in a darkish pink bottle.

I don't really want to use this yet until I know for sure that is what most people are using !?!

I just use it as face wash. While im in the shower like I would any other product. I dont use anything else. Maybe its just my luck but seriously try it in the trial size and go from there!! You will see results in probably a week. I did at least. Good luck to everyone that wants to try it.
 
Hi there! I guess she's referring to the solid pink colored bottle that contains rose hips, vitamin E and jojoba for colored/permed/dry/damaged hair - replenishing conditioner..i just bought a bottle 12 oz for $3.99 in Rite Aid- nothing to lose- anyway, i have a sensitive scalp too - i get painful/itchy bumps if the shampoo doesnt work for me..so far only Tresemme and Kanebo from Japan..sfo_mom
 
When you say you dont use anything else, do you mean you dont use any moistuizer either? If not, does it leave your skin moisturized enough? Im definately going to try this. Ive been using nothing at all on my face and think its better than anything so far but ill still give this a try!

Does anyone know if this works on body acne as well? Im thinking the reason this might work is because conditioner used in larger amounts on your hair actually cleans your hair...its the condition cleaning method. Its because the conditioners have just the right amount of chemical in it to gently wash away the oils. Maybe all the other cleansers are just too harsh no matter how "gentle" they say they are...just a theory anyways
 
I'd like to try this, but I don't feel like it would be "cleansing" enough to remove my makeup.
 
are you saying that you put the conditioner on your face? wow-- you'd think that all the oils would cause MORE acne. glad it's working for you though.
 
I saw that post when I was searching for something else! It looked like everyone was being really mean about it to her. I'm glad to hear it works! I think I'm going to try it, too. What's there to lose?
 
i think the conditioner everyone is trying is protection for coloured,permed,dry and damaged hair. i am starting this method 2morow i have tried tonnes of products none of which have helped. i thought this garnier 1 i bought had done the trick but i broke out today:( anyway i'll keep u posted on how this works!
