Why in the world would your parents accuse you of pregnancy when you are having medical issues? That makes me so angry. As a parent, it is our job to care for our children physically, emotionally, and spiritually. When our children come to us, it is our job to provide whatever support we can to help them through it. I am sorry to hear you are going through this...

I am very happy to know you are getting the blood work done, and I hope you let me know what the results are, OK? I care about you.

My parents are just very religious people and I have all the symptoms of being pregnant so I don't know.

I have to go back Monday for those tests. I had fainting spells there yesterday...I'm the worst with needles.

Oh, I understand...kind of. And actually, in my opinion the symptoms are quite different, because I have been pregnant 3 times, and also have serious kidney disease. I appreciate you sharing this with me, everyone needs someone to "talk" to at times in their lives.

About the needles...I have a few tricks to make that a little easier. I have had blood work taken every few weeks for years.

1. Do not look.

2. Do not hold your breath, keep breathing steadily. When you hold your breath, your body naturally pulls your blood vessels in, making it harder.

3. Let the technician know of your concerns, they are very used to fearful patients, and they will do everything they can to make it quick, and less stressful.

4. Make sure you are well hydrated before you go in. Keep that water flowing. Dehydration makes it harder.

Let me know sweetie...Ok? Hang in there, girl!
