been having back problems for a year or 2 went to doctor in janurary this year for my back he ordered me mri had in feb. went back he look at my films so fast but i figured he knew what he was doing he told me i had a bad disc not to bad he orderd me to pt i went once then found out i was pregeant so decided to wait to go back till after i had baby when i was pregeant did not have many problems with my back i got sick in may and later had miss carriage last couple of weeks back been really hurting so i found back doctor to go to i need to take my mri films and report so went to day to get my report do not understand it do not go to doctor till aug. can someone help me understand the report [ the cauda equina layer in a normal,dependent fashion.no aggressive marrow-replacing processes are present. t12-l1;this level is unremarkable in appearance. L1-2 there is a minimal broadbased disc bulge with a tiny superimposed disc herniation of the extrusion type into midline.the central canal and nueral foramen are widely patent. L2-3 there is a minimal broadbased disc bulge at this level.the central canal is widely patent. L3-4 the central and neural foramen are widely patent at this level.no focal herniations are appreciated.there is mild ligamentum flavum prominence at this level. L4-5 there is a focal disc herniation of the extrusion type into central zone.the neural foramen and central canal are patent. L5-S1;there is a disc herniation of the extrusion type at this level in the central zone extending into the left subarticular zone.there is no significant central canal stenosis.the neural foramen are widely patent. impression;multilevel focal disc herniations.the largest of these are located at the L4-5 within the central zone and the L5-S1 level in the central and left subarticular zones.no significant central canal stenosis is appreciated.
