Help!! Xbox 360 controller and Mic Problems?

I have a wireless plug and play controller and a wired mic for my xbox360. When I plug my mic into my controller it shows that it emits a sound(constantly). Also when I played online with others it was making a screaming noise making them very mad. I know its not my headset because I plugged my headset into a different controller it was fine... I'm not sure how to fix this problem
 
Try taking it to your nearest game store such as: Gamestop, Play-N-Trade, or GameCrazy. Also, you could try buying a new one if its not too expensive. But try to find some friend who has a uncle or relative that is good with fixing those kinds of things. Im not trying to brag, but if you lived near me, my uncle would have it fixed fast! But just try those methods. Just don't try to mess with what you don't know, just leave it for a while and borrow a friends or something.
