i just bought a 2009 scion tc 2 weeks ago and its color is sizzling crimson. and i just need some advice with waxing it and cleaning it.
my first question is, my dad told me that im not suppose to apply wax to my car because it's just new. i need to wait for it to get at least a month old before applying wax because applying wax will make my car's paint dull. is that true that it will make my car's paint dull if i apply wax in it even if it's brand new?
my last question are steps on how to clean my car. i bought a bunch of meguiar's product and it's all gold class. here's what i bought:
shampoo & conditioner
ultimate detailer
scratch X
liquid wax
all wheel cleaner
hot shine tire coating
vinyl/rubber protectant
so can you pls tell me step by step what to use first and how to use it.
(i wasn't able to buy a car polish by meguiar's cuz i can't find one.)
is it necessary to apply polish in my car also?
all your answers are helpful, but there's another question in my mind.
what's the best one i can use to clean my windows. cuz from what i know, alot of window cleaner would still leave some smudges. i want a streak and smudge free after applying it. thanks, you guys are very helpful.!
ok, all the answers are great, and there are two sides of people saying no and yes about the waxing.
and earlier, i've also read a lot of articles about using wax, saying that wax will strip off the factory finish. is that true? i really want to keep the factory finish look in my car. i want to keep it shiny, wet look, factory finish looking. anymore adivise?
and again, thanks for all your answers, it's educating me alot.
to answer some of your questions, the dealer had my car just 2 days before i bought my car.
and about the place where i live. i live in nor cal. somewhere near Napa area. and it's kind'a hot in hear, near 80 to 90 deg. sometimes we experience some heat wave around 110 deg. and another thing is i only live in an appartment, i dont have a close garage. and it's pretty dusty around my place. it will only take less time to cover my car with a thin layer of dusts. so is it gonna be a problem while waxing my car?
