I saw the movie, and was dying to read the first book. So I went into the bookstore to buy it, and I began reading a few pages from the middle of the book (before I bought it). The writing seemed really weird, almost...childish in a way I guess. However, I did only read a few pages. I decided not to buy it. Is the book better than I think it is?
