help with the Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff?

I have 2 questions.
1. Does it work without the Sims 2 Edition?
2. Will it work with The Sims (the first edition)?

Yes to question 1, no to question 2. nd OMG you like the sims2??? i love it the sims3 comes out on Febuary 20th!!!!!! im so excited!!!!

It needs Sims 2...the base game to work. It will not work with Sims 1, because Sims 1 and Sims 2 are different games.
