Help with Samsung Impression that won't receive texts?

My samsung impression will only receive some of the texts people send me, sometimes only from specific people. People tell me they text me but i never get them. Sometimes if i restart my phone, i'll get texts that i SHOULD have gotten earlier, but as of now that's not working. Any help?
 
May have to be reprogrammed. The best thing would be to contact the carrier for the phone and explain it to them. if you want even quicker service take it into one there stores or the service centers
