Help with Plucker

Hey people,

I?m a new member of the Board. I?m computer-challenged. That?s why I love my Palm. It?s so easy.

Here?s the problem that I need help on, though.

I just went from a m515 to a Tungsten E. Actually my wife did too. I know that this is the Tungsten T board, but it seems to be very active, and I'm really going to ask for help with Plucker, which many of you seem to use.

We have a mac desktop, and recently we joined the modern era and went from OS9 to OSX.

I used to love Avantgo, but as you all know, they don?t support OSX desktop. So following the advice on this board and some other places (including PalmOne) I checked out Plucker.

The problem is?I can?t figure out how to set it up and use it. I?m sure it?s easy for most of you people, but again, I?m a computer idiot.

I even had a guy come over to my house to set up my palm...but he's never used Plucker and he would charge me by the hour while he read all the info and learned about it himself. I'm fine with that, but he's been busy and reluctant to do it.

I?m a film maker in Los Angeles. (We?re not the brightest people in the world!!)
I don?t know where any of you people live, but if someone is in the Los Angeles area, would it be possible for you to come to my house and help me set up Plucker and show me how to use it? Of course I will pay you for your time.

I just started using Plucker, however I am using it with Sunrise Desktop (which is free and can be downloaded from freewarepalm.com). Sunrise Desktop has been my crutch in using Plucker. I am also running Windows platform. I know nothing about Mac. Hopefully some other folks might be more knowledgeable....sorry I couldn't help you more.

I don't have a Mac, but I know there is a utility which allows Windows applications to run on a Mac. I think it might be called something like Virtual PC. There is a chance this utility will let you run Sunrise. Again, I don't have a Mac so I don't know for sure if this will work.
