help with photo story and movie maker?

okay so i'm making a movie with pictures for my grandparents 5th. But I'm made stuff with movie maker before and try to burn it to a dvd but it never works! it only works when i put in a cd, but that wont work in a dvd player D:
So does anyone know if there is a dvd option on photo story or movie maker. PLEASE! I really need help.
