Help with new PDA

I am new to the PDA game. I am currently looking at the Palm TX because it seems to have the best bang for the buck, as it includes Wi-Fi and bluetooth in a reasonable price. My one reservation is the fact that it does not have a built in keyboard. Are there any Palm OS or Pocket PC's that have a built in keyboard that are in the same price range? Also, where did you buy your Palm TX, and what kind of deals are there out there? THanks for the help.

Don't know if it has been around long enough to make for sale prices; however you can go w/the TX & use the great program MessagEase from www.exideas.com

It is very well constructed w/many features that add more than just input functionality
& is well supported by the author (very responsive) & they have a site on Yahoo Groups.

For example other capabilties are being able to save text to memory location & macro capability. There is another excellent program called MySkin by Dr. Alex Pruss, another very responsive author that also incorporates great features/functionality into MySkin; like fixing the TX problem w/the missing home silk screen icon, color customization & more.

You will have to get used to it, but it is well worth it.

Good luck,

Hello Tank,

I am also a very happy user of MessagEase keyboard on my TX.

It's free for the first two months, so you can try it with no risk. It's a software keyboard, so you don't have to carry. It produces its own keyboard which overlays the Graffiti area and lets you enter all characters, including many special characters, some not found on portable keyboards at all.

You can download and install it in a few seconds (www.exideas.com). Like Eli said, it takes a bit to get used to it. But once you go passed the initial shock, you get to experiece the awe. :D
