help with my i870

well i jsut got a i870 and i used the sim card out of the i710 and i goto to messageing and everytime i try to send a regular message of a picture it says message can not be sent. i can only text under net or w/e. i have a 128k sim card that i bought so should i get all my information transfered to that sim card cuz i heard that will make it work?

or if it isnt cuz of that sim card what can i do? i jsut signed up for the data pack or w/e to see if that would make it work but idk
 
that i know is because of the sim. when i purchesed mine it came with the new sim. but i asked the rep if i could keep my i730 sim and use the new one as a spare. they told me not all functions would work, mainly messanging. i also inquired about the globe near the battery bar, asking them to turn it off, and they told me that there is an IP adress for the phone, but not internet. and that is needed for messanging also...
 
so that means i should get teh 128k sim card activated and put in my i870 correct so i can get messaging to work? did you get your mesaging fixed with the new sim?
