Help With My Brand New fujitsu siemens with vista home basic?

i have a fujitsu siemens with vista home basic. ever since i got it its been crashing, it either makes a horrible grinding noise whilst im using windows media player or the cursor wont move. ( this happens when no programs are running) i dont have a clue about computers please help :(

Hello... Warranty? What would make you think this is a problem you should try to solve on your own? If it is brand new, as you say, you have a 1 year warranty with the manufacturer. If it is Brand New, as you say, you have a 30 day warranty with the place where you purchased it.

Return it. Either bring it back where you bought it, or contact Fujitsu, and arrange a warranty repair.
