So here is my blurb so far;
Abandoned by her Mother at six-years-old after the death of her Dad, Lauren's life has been far from easy. Struggling with depression, she feels her life no longer has any meaning. That is until she moves in with the O'Brien's - a caring, loving family who are always looking on the brighter side.
When Lauren meets Jake she begins to look at life through at life through a different window. When the love of her life shatters her world once again, there is little room for hope.
But that's all Lauren has and she's clinging onto it for dear life - hope.

The story is basically about a fifteen year old girl who's had a very troubled childhood. She was definitely a daddy's girl and when he died, she never really got to grieve his death before she was thrust into the arms of a stranger. She spent years yearning for her family, with only her younger sister for company. A dark secret also lays buried deep in her past, a secret that caused Lauren to abandon her own sister and try to take her own life. (All this happens before the book) It begins when Lauren is 15 and moving in with a new foster family. She falls in love with a boy at her new school and she believes this is the real thing. He leaves her and moves to Australia. However she realises weeks later that she is pregnant. She is soon reunited with her mum, sister and older brother Liam. But the reunion with her sister digs up Lauren's past and a secret that threatens to destroy both their lives.
It is a story of Lauren's quest to find happiness and contentment with her life. And facing her past to deal with her present. The hope is the hope of being reunited and finding peace with her family and the secret hope of being reunited with the boy she fell in love with. The death of her dad plays quite a big part in the story and I would like to add a bit more of that into the blurb.
Any ideas for a blurb? Improve on the one above or a brand new one?
Thanks for your help!
I'd also like to add a bit more about her family into it. Any help with doing that?
