Help with my Art coursework: Art as Propoganda?

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any ideas. I've chosen 'art as propoganda' for my topic, I have to include research etc. Can anyone think of any art in propoganda through history? Or any ideas related to it? Specific OR vague :).

At the moment the main idea I have is Edward Bernays and his influence, oh and of course Freud, but after that, I'm stuck.
